Coinflip
Two players, equal stakes, 50/50. The winner takes both stakes minus a 2% fee.
- Win chance
- 50%
- Minimum stake
- 1.00 CREDIT
- Fee
- 2% of each stake
- Decided by
- A sealed seed + the next block
How a flip plays
- You create a duel with a stake (at least 1.00 CREDIT, no maximum). It waits in the open list until someone accepts it.
- Until then you can cancel it for a full refund of your stake. No fee is taken.
- Another player accepts by putting in the same stake. Both stakes are locked in the escrow contract at that block. You can't accept your own duel.
- A sealed seed and the next block decide. Before the duel opened, the game server sealed a secret seed (it published the seed's fingerprint). Mixed with the hash of the block after the lock, it gives a roll from 0 to 9,999: under 5,000 the creator wins, otherwise the one who accepted. Nobody knows that block hash when the duel locks, and the seed can't be changed, so nobody, including us, can pick the result.
- The winner is paid the pot minus 2%, straight to their balance, usually within seconds of the accept.
- You stake
- 10.00
- Opponent stakes
- 10.00
- Pot
- 20.00
- Fee: 2% of each stake (0.20 + 0.20)
- −0.40
- Winner receives
- 19.60 CREDIT
That's +9.60 on your 10.00. If you joined through someone's referral link, they get 0.02 of your 0.20 fee; you pay the same either way.
If the result isn't revealed
The game server reveals its seed and settles the duel from 2 blocks after it locks. The escrow accepts that until 36,000 blocks after the lock (about 1 hour*). If the seed isn't revealed in that time, anyone can void the duel on the escrow and both stakes are refunded in full.
Check it yourself
Every duel has its own page with a Verify link. It checks the revealed seed against its fingerprint and recomputes the roll in your browser from the seed and the block hash, with the same math the escrow uses. See How it's fair.

How a round plays
- The first entry opens a round. It closes 3 minutes later (real time, not blocks), or at once on the 500th entry.
- Enter as often as you like, at least 1.00 CREDIT each time. Each entry adds to your share.
- Your chance = what you put in ÷ the pot. 30 in a 100 pot is a 30% chance.
- The winner is drawn from the game server's sealed seed and the hash of the block after the round closes. Together they pick a ticket number between 0 and the size of the pot; the entry whose running total first passes the ticket wins. A bigger entry covers more numbers, which is exactly its share.
- The winner receives the pot minus 3% of each entry, straight to their balance.
- Only one player? There is no draw until 2 different wallets are in. If the timer runs out with one wallet, the round rolls over and waits, money in; when a 2nd wallet joins, the timer starts again. Every entry is locked in until the timer runs out; after that, until a 2nd wallet joins, the player alone in the round can take everything out on the Jackpot page, no fee.
- The next round opens with the next entry. An entry sent after the time is up closes the old round and starts a new one, so it never fails.

Settling and checking
Like a duel, a closed round is settled by the game server within seconds; the escrow accepts it for about 1 hour*. If the seed isn't revealed in that time, anyone can void the round and every entry goes back to its player. Every round has a Verify page that redraws the ticket in your browser.
Poker
No-limit Texas hold'em at 6-seat tables, 1/2 CREDIT blinds. The server deals and runs every hand; your CREDIT sits in the poker escrow contract.
- Game
- No-limit hold'em, 6-max
- Blinds
- 1/2 CREDIT
- Rake
- 5%, max 2 big blinds
- Time to act
- 30 s + 30 s bank
Getting a seat
- Your event balance is the CREDIT you bring in from your wallet: up to 1,000 CREDIT of your own money over the whole event, in as many buy-ins as you like. Every table entry is 200 CREDIT from it, so everyone starts a table with the same stack, and you can cash out whatever isn't at a table back to your wallet. What you cash out no longer counts toward the cap, so you can bring it back in later.
- Join game seats you at random at a table with room. Nobody picks a table, a seat or an opponent. One seat per account.
- A hand is dealt when at least 3 players are seated. Join mid-orbit and you post a big blind to be dealt in, or wait for the big blind to reach you.
- Tables reshuffle at the first hand break after 30 minutes: everyone is reseated at random. Leave and Join game again before that, and you go back to the same table, so leaving can't re-roll your seat.
- Leave between hands and your chips go back to your event balance. Leave during a hand and you fold; if you're all-in you stay in and are paid when it ends.
- Bust and your seat is held for 2 minutes: rebuy for 200 CREDIT from your event balance (or your wallet, toward the 1,000 CREDIT cap) to stay, or you're stood up.
The clock, sitting out, reconnecting
- You have 30 seconds to act, then your time bank: 30 seconds, refilled by 5 seconds each hand, up to 30.
- Run out of time and you check if you can, otherwise you fold, and your time bank drops to zero. 2 timeouts in a row and you're sitting out.
- Sitting out, you aren't dealt in and pay no blinds; sit back in whenever you like. After 10 minutes sitting out you're stood up and your chips go back to your event balance.
- Lose your connection and you have 30 seconds to come back to your seat (your clock keeps running). After that you leave the table as if you'd pressed Leave.
Showdown and rake
At showdown every player still in shows; the best hand wins, ties split, and all-in players can only win what they matched (side pots). A player who wins with everyone else folded can choose to show.
Rake: 5% of the pot, capped at 2 big blinds, and no flop, no rake. If you were referred, your referrer gets 10% of your part of the rake.
| Hand | Pot | Rake | Winner gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raise, everyone folds before the flop | 6.00 | 0.00 | 6.00 |
| Flop seen, showdown | 40.00 | 2.00 | 38.00 |
| Big pot after the flop | 200.00 | 4.00 | 196.00 |
The PnL race
Every hand that starts inside the event window counts toward the race: the leaderboard ranks players by net winnings. The tables close shortly before the race ends and your chips go back to your wallet.
Fairness
- The shuffle is committed before play. The server publishes the hash of its secret seed before it deals with it, and every seat adds its own client seed. Once the seats and button of a hand are set, the next Robinhood Chain block hash is mixed in, so nobody, us included, knows the deck before the hand starts.
- The seed is revealed when it rotates (daily at 00:00 UTC). From then on, check any hand at Verify with its hand id: your browser rebuilds the deck and checks every card.
- The server sees every card, because it deals them, but it can't choose them. Players can't pick their table or seat, which makes teaming up hard.
Fees & referrals
Fees are how we earn. Nothing else is taken from your bets.
| Game | Fee | When it's taken |
|---|---|---|
| Coinflip | 2% of each stake | When the duel settles. None on a cancel or a void. |
| Jackpot | 3% of each entry | When the round settles. None on a refund. |
| Poker | 5% of the pot, max 2 big blinds | Only if the flop is dealt. None on a hand that ends before the flop. |
Referrals
- The first time you bet with someone's referral link, that wallet becomes your referrer, for every game, forever. You can't refer yourself, and it can't be changed later.
- Your referrer gets 10% of every fee you pay from then on: of your coinflip and jackpot fees, and of your part of a poker rake.
- It comes out of our share. You pay exactly the same with or without a referrer.
Wager mining (Season 1)
- 80% of the fees you pay come back as $CASINO during Season 1 (3 to 10 October, 00:00 UTC): coinflip and jackpot fees and your part of a poker rake, in settled games only.
- A 1,000 CREDIT bonus is shared out on top, in proportion to fees paid, among wallets that paid at least 1 CREDIT in fees during the season (about 50 CREDIT of coinflips). It is checked by hand before every payout, and wash play (betting against your own wallets, or a friend's, to farm rewards) is removed from the bonus. Those wallets still get their 80%.
- All of our fees, plus the bonus, buy $CASINO on the market. Payouts are sent from 0x7cf35cc2f9bc64ee39269e93b77ac95a1b666e9b after the season ends, and every swap and payout is listed on the mining page.
- Team wallets don't mine. Amounts shown during the season are estimates.
Where the money sits
Stakes and entries sit in the escrow contract, never with us, until a result pays them out. Poker CREDIT sits in the poker escrow contract while you play. Fees go to the treasury (a multi-signature Safe).
Fairness
Nobody picks a result: everything that decides a game is sealed first, then the blockchain decides.
- Coinflip and jackpot: before a game starts, the game server seals a secret seed and publishes its fingerprint. The stakes and entries are fixed in the escrow when the duel is accepted or the round closes; the result then comes from that seed mixed with the hash of the next block, which nobody knows in advance. The seed can't be swapped afterwards, so we can't steer the result.
- Poker: the server commits to its secret seed before dealing with it; each hand's deck comes from that seed, every player's client seed and a block hash mined after the seats are set. The seed is revealed when it rotates (daily), and every hand dealt with it can then be checked. More
- The only party that could influence a result is the chain's sequencer (Robinhood), which already orders every transaction; at poker, the server deals and sees the cards but can't choose them.
What you can check yourself
- Any duel or jackpot round on How it's fair: the revealed seed is checked against its fingerprint and the result recomputed in your browser.
- Any poker hand, once its seed is revealed: paste the hand id on Verify and your browser rebuilds the deck and checks every card.
- The official contract addresses, listed in the footer of every page.
If something goes wrong
Your money is in the escrow contracts, and there is always a way to get it out.
- A result was never revealed: after 1 hour* anyone can void the duel or round on the escrow, and every stake goes back to its player.
- A jackpot round was voided: every entry goes back to your balance by itself. Nothing to claim.
- A poker hand couldn't be saved: it's voided, every stack goes back to what it was at the start of the hand and the table closes. If the server restarts, every stack goes back to your balance.
- Wrong network: the app asks you to switch to Robinhood Chain and sends nothing until you do.
- A game is switched off: no new games start, but open ones still settle, cancel and refund.
